Oven Baked Tortilla chips and Guacamole

Ingredients for 2 servings

  • 6 each corn flour tortilla cut in quarters 3 whole ripe avocado
  • ¼ finely chopped red onion
  • 1 sprig fresh cilantro
  • ½ finely chopped jalapeno
  • juice of 2 limes
  • olive oil
  • salt

PREPARATION

  1. Tortilla Chips:

    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Cut the tortillas into quarters or sixths, depending on your preference.
    • Spread the tortilla pieces out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
    • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
    • Once done, let them cool down before placing them in a large bowl.
    • Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the chips and season with salt.

  2. Guacamole:

    • Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
    • Gently mash the avocados to your desired level of chunkiness or smoothness.
    • Add the red onion, cilantro, jalapeno, lime juice, and salt.
    • Stir everything together until well combined.
