100 g (3.5 oz) of millet
1 onion
2 zucchinis
Curry and other spices (such as chili pepper, pepper, paprika)
Sesame seeds (black or normal ones)
Possible substitutes for sesame seeds: oat flakes or breadcrumbs
Cook the millet. Stir fry an onion and add 2 zucchinis with curry, chili, pepper, paprika or other spices to taste. Combine the two preparations and let them cool down. Wet your hands and form ball shapes by lightly squashing the sides. Sprinkle them (coat them) with sesame seeds (or oat flakes or breadcrumbs). Bake them in the oven for about 20 minutes, turning them over halfway through cooking.
If cooked for a longer amount of time (30-40 minutes), they can stay in the fridge for a few days. How can they be served?
– on their own
– as a side dish to a vegetable dish or main course
– as a first course, accompanied with any sauce
– as meatball substitutes
Millet, which is naturally gluten-free, is known for its beneficial properties for skin, hair, and nails.
