Red Cake

Here is the delicious recipe for you to enjoy with your loved one!

1️. First, turn on the oven at 175°C (347°F).

2️. Liquid ingredients: Blend 2 ripe bananas (or alternatively, as we did, 2 pan-cooked or microwaved bananas), about 250 ml (8.8 fl oz/ 2 cups) of plant-based milk (we used coconut), 200 g (7 oz/ 1.6 cups) of beetroot and 80 ml of oil seeds or almonds.

3️. Dry ingredients: In a bowl mix 250 g (8.8 oz/ 2 cups) of flour and half a sachet of yeast (8 g).

  1. Also add a sprinkle of cinnamon and, to give an exotic and passionate touch, we added a hint of pepper.
  2. Now mix the two compounds with a spatula and then pour into a pan large enough so that the cake stays flat.
  3. Bake now in the oven for about 30 minutes.
  4. When 30 minutes have passed, test with a toothpick (dip a toothpick into the cake and if it comes out ′′ clean ′′ it means it’s ready) and then leave it to cool on the windowsill.
  5. When it’s cool, with a heart-shaped print, cut out lots of hearts and set them aside.

PLUMCAKE DOUGH

  1. Liquid ingredients: Blend 2 ripe bananas, about 300 ml (10.14 fl oz/2.5 cups) of plant-based milk (consider that the dough must be more liquid than that of the red cake) and 80 ml (2.7 fl oz/0.64 cups) of oil.

2.Dry ingredients: In a bowl mix 250 g (8.8 oz/ 2 cups) of flour and a sachet and a half of yeast (24 g).

3️. Now mix the two compounds with a spatula.

  1. In a plumcake mold, pour a thin layer of this dough.

5️. Now arrange the red hearts upside down in the mold with the dough layer.

  1. Finally, when the hearts are ready, pour the rest of the dough over it until it’s all covered.
  2. Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes and always test with a toothpick.
  3. Now let it cool and all you have to do is flip the plumcake and enjoy it alone or in company!
